Our NEW Bad Pony® Pendant Necklace is HERE!

BThe psychology behind our Bad Pony® Pendant Necklace from
Sports Psycologist, Dr. Nancy Bloom
She will tell you how it will inspire and empower your ride!

Patience, persistence and knowledge are key to becoming an effective rider and in negotiating a good ride. Learning to ride is a complicated process. It is both an art (feeling what your pony is doing) and a science (knowing how to tell your pony what you want). You must learn to be patient with yourself as you grow and develop as a rider. And you must be patient with your pony as you both learn to work together as a team.

Because riding can be difficult, persistence is also an important value. How can you deal with a sulky pony, one that doesn’t want to go or one that plays too hard, without sticking to the job no matter what? If you are able to stay focused on your goals, even when the going gets tough, you will be rewarded with a good performance and feel good about yourself and your pony in the end.

Finally, knowledge is essential to your success as a rider. You must know how to use your leg and body position to effect your pony in just the right way. You must understand your pony’s body language to know when he or she is happy or angry, tired or confused. You must also understand what you and your pony need to do to enjoy your trail ride, to have a good lesson, or to successfully negotiate a course or dressage test. Wear your Bad Pony® Pendant Necklace to help you focus on your goals of Patience, Persistence, and Knowledge. It will inspire a good ride, a ride that you can enjoy and feel proud of, and a ride that will help you to learn and grow.

We had such an amazing time at our Winter feature photo shoot. We got to shoot some lifestyles at two beautiful locations: Newport Polo Complex at Glenn Park in Portsmouth, RI and Royal Oaks Stables in Rehobeth, MA. We could not have been blessed with a more gorgeous day for late October in New England. Special thanks to our gorgeous four legged models Moxi, Rambo, Nayah, Eli and Scotty from Royal Oaks (and I guess our two legged ones too!).  Here are some sneak peaks of our favorite shots from the day featuring our stylish Bad Pony wear in everyday looks.

Bad Pony is so excited to be a vendor this Labor Day weekend at Heritage Farm for the 2013 Rhode Island Eq. Finals. So come out and enjoy the fresh air, talented competition, and shop all our Bad Pony products!

Here is some detailed information about the show from http://www.rifinals.com/.

2013 marks the 33rd year for the Rhode Island Equitation Championships. The 2013 program has now been mailed and can be seen here on this website: 2013 Program.

Ride ‘Round Rhody 2013

120We would like to introduce our fans to this great cause close to our hearts and our home. If you are interested in supporting or cycling, all the information is listed below.

For the past four years, hundreds of cyclists and volunteers have joined as one to raise necessary funds for cancer treatment at local hospitals.

This year, cyclists in the 5th annual bike-a-thon will cycle 25, 50 or 75 miles with a challenging mix of tree-lined roads, gently rolling terrain and climbs that will get the heart pumping. A new feature for 2013: For those with iPhones and Androids, you will be able to use an app to view the course maps for RRR and get turn-by-turn directions!

All riders are required to raise or donate a minimum of $250 in support of their participation. It is this fundraising effort that allows your participation to have such a tremendous impact on the community. Only riders who achieve this minimum requirement prior to the event will be able participate.

There are incentives for raising additional funds:

· All participants who exceed $1,000 will be recognized as members of the 2013 Peloton Pack
· Top participants will be eligible to win prizes and will be invited to participate in the check presentation ceremony when RRR funds are awarded to local hospitals
· The winners of the team competition will be honored by having a contribution made in their team’s name to a local cancer center, which the team can help select.

Participants who register after May 28 will receive an event t-shirt and goodie bag when they participate on ride day, having met the minimum fundraising requirement.

During registration, firstgiving.com allows you to make a contribution in support of your own ride. This is an important first step in raising money from other people. By doing so, you can invite them to join you in supporting local cancer treatment, rather than simply asking for their money. If you are eligible for one of the discounts, this is a great opportunity to put the savings to good use for the community.

There is no rain date for this event. All registrations are final (click here for our full registration policy).

Online registration closes before August 1. Riders can register at the event, for $100 (day-of registrants must also achieve the $250 fundraising minimum prior to the ride).

For more information about riding, or to learn about volunteering, please visit: www.lifecycleinc.org

Be sure to check the “registration fee” section of the RRR Details page to see if there are any current discounts available!

Thanks, and enjoy the ride!

Fabulous Weekend at Fitch’s Corner!

Hello Fans,

Bad Pony had an amazing time at Fitch’s corner this past weekend. We met many new fun & enthusiastic fans who fell in love with our brand! With over 50 vendors the show was full of life! It also had an old British vibe. An atmosphere of ladies dressed to the nines in fancy hats and designer duds, men in afternoon jackets and slacks, and the horses bathed in their natural beauty made for an incredibly picturesque time at Fitch’s Corner. The show was abslutely beautiful and we met these other incredible talented vendors such as:

Approximate Notions http://www.approximatenotions.com/

KIPDXTR http://www.kipdxtr.com

Patricia’s Presents http://www.patriciaspresents.com/

Harding-Lane http://www.harding-lane.com/

By Sunday, we had sold tons of toddler Bad Pony gifts and watched as young girls ran around sporting their recently purchased Bad Pony tees and accessories! Our favorite moments were seeing customers come in and connect their own ponies by name to the designs that resembled the naughty behaviors they experience on a daily basis.

Here are some Bad Pony™ photos from our time at Fitch’s Corner:
