For the past four years, hundreds of cyclists and volunteers have joined as one to raise necessary funds for cancer treatment at local hospitals.
This year, cyclists in the 5th annual bike-a-thon will cycle 25, 50 or 75 miles with a challenging mix of tree-lined roads, gently rolling terrain and climbs that will get the heart pumping. A new feature for 2013: For those with iPhones and Androids, you will be able to use an app to view the course maps for RRR and get turn-by-turn directions!
All riders are required to raise or donate a minimum of $250 in support of their participation. It is this fundraising effort that allows your participation to have such a tremendous impact on the community. Only riders who achieve this minimum requirement prior to the event will be able participate.
There are incentives for raising additional funds:
· All participants who exceed $1,000 will be recognized as members of the 2013 Peloton Pack
· Top participants will be eligible to win prizes and will be invited to participate in the check presentation ceremony when RRR funds are awarded to local hospitals
· The winners of the team competition will be honored by having a contribution made in their team’s name to a local cancer center, which the team can help select.
Participants who register after May 28 will receive an event t-shirt and goodie bag when they participate on ride day, having met the minimum fundraising requirement.
During registration, firstgiving.com allows you to make a contribution in support of your own ride. This is an important first step in raising money from other people. By doing so, you can invite them to join you in supporting local cancer treatment, rather than simply asking for their money. If you are eligible for one of the discounts, this is a great opportunity to put the savings to good use for the community.

Online registration closes before August 1. Riders can register at the event, for $100 (day-of registrants must also achieve the $250 fundraising minimum prior to the ride).
